In this 8 month engagement, I supported this client to develop skills around managing conflict in a healthy way. Her ‘current metaphor’ reflected her situation and helped her identify what was behind her reluctance to have difficult conversations. Her ‘future metaphor’ painted her a picture of how she could change her leadership approach. We identified skills she needed to make the transition to approach conflict head-on and manage and her discomfort.
