We want to complement our in-person program for wealth advisors with an online, social component. This audience has varying levels of experience, is competitive, and has limited time and patience for training.
This national financial institution wanted to improve its internal capabilities for its wealth management advisors.
Blended Learning Solution
We designed online learning that was part of their larger development program with in-person courses the client designed. The topics included:
- Financial planning.
- Managing team dynamics.
- Personal productivity.
- Women in wealth.
The wealth advisors were sales-focused and needed targeted content they could access in small windows of availability. For each topic, we created a variety of learning components including:
- Short elearning courses.
- Animated videos.
- Curated existing content.
- Tip Sheet quick references.
- How-to job aids.
- Questions to generate thoughtful online discussion
- On-the-job activities to apply concepts.
The design included gamification elements to motivate learners. Wealth advisors earned points for completing different components and could monitor their progress on a leaderboard.
